Capacity Building

Building Skills,
Building Independence
Capacity building is about progress, not just getting through the day. It develops the skills and confidence to do more for yourself over time, whether that's managing a budget, cooking a meal, using public transport or feeling at ease in the community. Our support workers across the Hawkesbury work alongside you towards goals you set yourself, never a generic checklist.
- Goals set around what matters to you
- Daily living, budgeting and independence skills
- Progress tracked and shared with your support team
What Capacity Building Looks Like

Confidence in the Community
Building the skills to take part in community life on your own terms.
Tell Us What You Want to Achieve
If your plan includes capacity building and you're not sure what that looks like day to day, we'll help you map it out.

Capacity Building Questions
- Core supports help you manage today: personal care, daily tasks, getting around. Capacity building invests in tomorrow, funding supports that grow your skills and independence so you gradually need less help. They sit in separate budget categories in your NDIS plan and the money isn't interchangeable between them. Most plans include both, and a good support arrangement uses them together deliberately.
